"บวรศักดิ์" เปิดงานประเพณีลอยกระทง พุทธศักราช 2568 "ลอยกระทง ไท ไทย คารวาลัย พระแม่ของแผ่นดิน" น้อมรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณและแสดงความอาลัยถวายแด่ "สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง"

เมื่อวันที่ 5 พ.ย. 68 นายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทย มอบหมายให้นายบวรศักดิ์ อุวรรณโณ รองนายกรัฐมนตรี เป็นประธานการจัดงานประเพณีลอยกระทง พุทธศักราช 2568 “ลอยกระทง ไท ไทย คารวาลัย พระแม่ของแผ่นดิน” น้อมรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณและแสดงความอาลัยถวายแด่สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง โดยมีท่านเจ้าคุณพระโสภณวชิราภรณ์ ผู้ช่วยเจ้าอาวาสวัดอรุณราชวรารามราชวรมหาวิหาร นางสาวซาบีดา ไทยเศรษฐ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม คณะรัฐมนตรี เอกอัครราชทูตวิสามัญผู้มีอำนาจเต็ม คณะทูตานุทูต นายประสพ เรียงเงิน ปลัดกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม นางยุถิกา อิศรางกูร ณ อยุธยา อธิบดีกรมส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรม ผู้บริหารกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม ผู้แทนหน่วยงานร่วมจัดงาน อาทิ กองทัพเรือ บริษัท ไทยเบฟเวอเรจ จำกัด (มหาชน) บริษัท ไทยกรุ๊ป โฮลดิ้งส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) ผู้แทนหน่วยงานบูรณาการกำหนดแนวทางการจัดงานลอยกระทงฯ เครือข่ายทางวัฒนธรรม แขกผู้มีเกียรติ คณะสื่อมวลชน และประชาชน เข้าร่วมงาน

นายบวรศักดิ์ อุวรรณโณ รองนายกรัฐมนตรี กล่าวว่า ในปีนี้ การจัดงานประเพณีลอยกระทง พุทธศักราช 2568 กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม โดยกรมส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรม ร่วมกับวัดอรุณราชวรารามราชวรมหาวิหาร กองทัพเรือ บริษัท ไทยกรุ๊ป โฮลดิ้งส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) บริษัท ไทยเบฟเวอเรจ จำกัด (มหาชน) และภาคีเครือข่ายภาครัฐ เอกชน และชุมชน ที่เกี่ยวข้อง 33 หน่วยงาน ร่วมกันกำหนดแนวทางการจัดงานประเพณีลอยกระทง พุทธศักราช 2568 ภายใต้แนวคิด “ลอยกระทง ไท ไทย คารวาลัย พระแม่ของแผ่นดิน” เพื่อสืบสานประเพณีอันดีงามของไทยให้คงอยู่คู่สังคมไทยอย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งประเพณีลอยกระทงถือเป็นมรดกภูมิปัญญาทางวัฒนธรรมของชาติที่สะท้อนถึงความกตัญญูต่อพระแม่คงคา การอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมและการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสันติสุขในสังคม และปัจจุบันก็มีการปรับตัวให้เข้ากับยุคสมัยแต่ยังคงรักษาเอกลักษณ์ อัตลักษณ์ประเพณีที่ดีงาม ซึ่งการจัดงานในวันนี้ ถือเป็นต้นแบบในการปรับตัวให้เข้ากับยุคสมัยใหม่เพราะมีทั้งการลอยกระทงแบบดั้งเดิมและการลอยกระทง ด้วยระบบเทคโนโลยี Interactive และเน้นย้ำในการช่วยกันรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมด้วยการใช้กระทงจากวัสดุธรรมชาติ

ด้านนางสาวซาบีดา ไทยเศรษฐ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม กล่าวว่า ด้วยการสวรรคตของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ผู้ทรงเป็น “อัคราภิรักษศิลปิน” ได้ทรงปฏิบัติพระราชกรณียกิจนานัปการในการอนุรักษ์ ฟื้นฟู ส่งเสริม สืบทอด และสร้างสรรค์มรดกทางศิลปะของแผ่นดิน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นงานด้านหัตถศิลป์ หัตถกรรมพื้นบ้าน ประณีตศิลป์ จนถึงนาฏศิลป์ชั้นสูง เช่น โขน ศิลปะแขนงต่าง ๆ ให้เจริญรุ่งเรือง เป็นที่ประจักษ์จนได้รับการยกย่องชื่นชมไปทั่วโลก ทั้งนี้ กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม จึงได้ดำเนินการจัดงาน “ลอยกระทงไท ไทย คารวาลัย พระแม่ของแผ่นดิน” เพื่อเป็นการรำลึกถึง พระมหากรุณาธิคุณและแสดงความอาลัยแด่สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถพระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง และเพื่อสืบสาน และถ่ายทอดเอกลักษณ์ไทย มรดกภูมิปัญญาทางวัฒนธรรมและประเพณีที่สำคัญของประเทศ คือ ประเพณีลอยกระทง ให้เป็นที่รู้จักอย่างแพร่หลายทั้งในระดับชาติ และระดับนานาชาติ

ซึ่งเป็นการนำมิติทางวัฒนธรรมมาเสริมสร้างภาพลักษณ์อันดีแก่ประเทศ โดยตระหนักถึงมิติการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนทั้ง 4 มิติ ของยูเนสโก ได้แก่ มิติด้านวัฒนธรรม มิติด้านสังคม มิติด้านเศรษฐกิจ และมิติด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับนโยบาย “สืบสาน สร้างสรรค์ นำวัฒนธรรม สู่อนาคตอย่างยั่งยืน” เพื่อเปิดพื้นที่ท่องเที่ยวทางวัฒนธรรมใหม่ในชุมชน เฟ้นหาคุณค่าความเป็นไทย ทำให้พื้นที่ทางวัฒนธรรมทันสมัยและเข้าถึงง่าย และเพิ่มช่องทางการจำหน่ายผลิตภัณฑ์วัฒนธรรมไทย ทั้งนี้ กรมส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรม ได้ยื่นเอกสารขอขึ้นทะเบียน “ประเพณีลอยกระทงในประเทศไทย (Loy Krathong : Traditional Water – honoring Festival in Thailand) เป็นรายการตัวแทนมรดกวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติ ต่อองค์การศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ และวัฒนธรรม แห่งสหประชาชาติ (ยูเนสโก) เป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว และอยู่ระหว่างรอเข้าสู่กระบวนการพิจารณาของคณะกรรมการยูเนสโก

สำหรับกิจกรรมภายในงาน ประกอบด้วย การแสดงทางวัฒนธรรม การลอยกระทงด้วยระบบเทคโนโลยี Interactive ที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม การจัดนิทรรศการเทิดพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง นิทรรศการเผยแพร่คุณค่าสาระความสำคัญของประเพณีลอยกระทง กิจกรรมตลาดนัดวัฒนธรรมสร้างสรรค์ สาธิตอาหารและขนมโบราณ กิจกรรมการสาธิตการทำกระทง การทำโบว์ไว้ทุกข์ งานคราฟต์และงาน DIY การแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมเพื่อน้อมสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณและแสดงความอาลัยโดยศิลปินแห่งชาติ ศิลปินยอดนิยมและศิลปินพื้นบ้าน การสาธิตทำกระทงจากวัสดุธรรมชาติ และการสาธิตอาหารไทยและขนมไทย 1 จังหวัด 1 เมนู เชิดชูอาหารถิ่น และนอกจากนี้ กระทรวงวัฒนธรรมยังได้บูรณาการร่วมกับหน่วยงานต่างๆ ในพื้นที่ ร่วมจัดกิจกรรมลอยกระทงใน 5 จังหวัดอัตลักษณ์ [ประกอบด้วย จังหวัดสุโขทัย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ จังหวัดตาก จังหวัดสมุทรสงคราม และจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด] 18 จังหวัดวิถีถิ่น [ประกอบด้วย จังหวัดขอนแก่น จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์จังหวัดนครราชสีมา จังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยาจังหวัดลำปาง จังหวัดระนอง จังหวัดชัยนาท จังหวัดกำแพงเพชร จังหวัดสตูล จังหวัดสงขลาจังหวัดอำนาจเจริญ จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ จังหวัดนราธิวาส จังหวัดนครพนม จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี จังหวัดอุทัยธานี จังหวัดระยอง และจังหวัดนครสวรรค์] และเขตพื้นที่ต่าง ๆ ในกรุงเทพมหานคร อีกด้วย

Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, Bangkok – Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, assigned Mr. Borwornsak Uwanno, Deputy Prime Minister, to preside over Loy Krathong Festival 2025 under the theme “Loy Krathong Tai (Authentic Thai Identity) Thai : In Reverence to the Mother of the Land” held in remembrance and deep gratitude for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The ceremony was attended by Phra Sophonvachirabhorn (Sawai Chotiko), Assistant Abbot of Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan; Ms. Sabeeda Thaised, Minister of Culture; Cabinet members; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary; diplomatic corps; Mr. Prasop Riang-ngern, Permanent Secretary for Culture; Mrs. Yuthika Isarangkura, Director-General of the Department of Cultural Promotion; executives from the Ministry of Culture; representatives of co-organizing agencies such as the Royal Thai Navy, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, Thai Group Holdings Public Company Limited, cultural networks, honored guests, media representatives, and the citizens.

Mr. Borwornsak Uwanno, Deputy Prime Minister, stated that this year’s Loy Krathong Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture through the Department of Cultural Promotion, in collaboration with Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, the Royal Thai Navy, Thai Group Holdings Public Company Limited, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and 33 public, private, and community organizations, is held under the theme “Loy Krathong Tai (Authentic Thai Identity) Thai : In Reverence to the Mother of the Land” The event aims to preserve this treasured Thai cultural heritage, reflecting gratitude to the Goddess of Water Gonga, environmental conservation, and harmonious coexistence. The event embraces both traditional and modern aspects, including interactive digital krathong (a small, decorated basket or float, traditionally made from banana tree trunks and leaves, flowers, and a candle) floating, while emphasizing environmental protection through the use of eco-friendly natural materials.

Ms. Sabeeda Thaised, Minister of Culture, explained that, following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, who was the Supreme Patron of Thai Artists, it is fitting to commemorate Her Majesty’s immense contributions to the preservation, revival, and creation of Thailand’s artistic heritage – from handicrafts and fine arts to classical dance forms such as Khon (a form of masked theatre that depicts the story of Ramakien (รามเกียรติ์), a Thai epic based on the Hindu tale of Ramayana), as well as all of which have gained global recognition. Therefore, the Ministry of Culture has organized “Loy Krathong Tai (Authentic Thai Identity) Thai : In Reverence to the Mother of the Land” festival to honor Her Majesty’s legacy and to promote Loy Krathong tradition, an important cultural heritage of Thailand, at both national and international levels. This initiative supports UNESCO’s four dimensions of sustainable development – cultural, social, economic, and environmental dimensions – and aligns with the Ministry’s policy of “Preserve, Create, and Carry Culture into a Sustainable Future”. The festival also aims to promote cultural tourism, support local Thai identity, modernize cultural spaces, and expand markets for Thai cultural products. Additionally, the Department of Cultural Promotion has formally submitted the nomination of “Loy Krathong in Thailand” (Loy Krathong : Traditional Water – HonoringFestival in Thailand) for inclusion in UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, which is now under review by the UNESCO Committee.

Festival activities include cultural performances, interactive eco-friendly krathong floating, exhibitions the royal aspiration and lifelong dedication of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, exhibitions highlighting the meaning and importance of the Loy Krathong tradition, creative cultural markets, demonstrations of traditional Thai cuisine and desserts, workshops on krathong making and mourning ribbon crafting, DIY and craft activities, and performances by national artists of Thailand, popular performers, and folk artists. In addition, the Ministry of Culture has coordinated with local agencies to organize Loy Krathong celebrations in 5 uniquely cultural identity provinces [Sukhothai, Chiang Mai, Tak, Samut Songkhram, and Roi Et] along with 18 local culture provinces [KhonKaen, Buriram, Nakhon Ratchasima, PhraNakhon Si Ayutthaya, Lampang, Ranong, Chainat, Kamphaeng Phet, Satun, Songkhla, Amnat Charoen, Samut Prakan, Narathiwat, Nakhon Phanom, Surat Thani, Uthai Thani, Rayong, and Nakhon Sawan] as well as in various districts across Bangkok.
